Privacy Policy

TurfDoctor is operated by [COMPANY NAME] Pty Ltd (ACN [ACN], ABN [ABN]), a company registered in Western Australia. We are responsible for the personal information we collect from subscribers and prospective subscribers.

When you sign up for a subscription, we collect:

• Identity — your first and last name.
• Contact — your email address, suburb, postcode, and street number. We do not require your full street address.
• Lawn details — grass type, lawn size, soil type, irrigation setup, shade exposure, lawn goals, known issues, the physical capacity you have for lawn work, and the time you can give it each week.
• Account state — your subscription tier, status, trial dates, and billing history.
• Payment — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

In a future release we may offer the option to upload photographs of your lawn for analysis. If we do, we will update this policy and ask for your consent separately before processing any image you upload.

We use the information you provide to:

• Prepare your monthly prescription, written for your specific lawn.
• Send the welcome email, monthly prescriptions, and billing notifications.
• Process your subscription payments.
• Respond to your support enquiries.

We do not use your information to build profiles for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate TurfDoctor. Each processes only the information they need to do their job:

• Stripe — processes subscription payments. PCI DSS compliant. Receives your name, email, and payment details. We do not see card numbers.
• Supabase — our primary database. Hosts your contact and lawn details. The database is located in Sydney, Australia.
• Klaviyo — sends the monthly prescription email and maintains the subscriber list. Receives your name and email.
• Resend — sends the welcome email and other one-off transactional emails. Receives your name and email.
• Vercel — hosts the TurfDoctor website and its server functions.

We have agreements with each provider that require them to handle your data securely and only for the purpose described above. We do not share your information with any other third parties for marketing or any other purpose.

Your primary record — the lawn profile you fill in at signup — is stored in Sydney, Australia. The email service providers and hosting provider listed above operate from data centres in multiple regions, which may include locations outside Australia.

By starting a subscription, you consent to your name, email, and (where applicable) the content of emails sent to you being processed in those regions for the purpose of delivering the service.

We keep your subscription record for as long as your subscription is active and for seven years after it ends, to meet record-keeping requirements under Australian tax law. After that period, we delete or de-identify the record.

You can ask us to delete your contact details and lawn profile sooner — see “Your rights” below. We may need to retain a minimal record of past billing for tax purposes even after you exercise this right.

You can ask us at any time to:

• Send you a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date.
• Delete your contact details and lawn profile. We will action a deletion request within 30 days, subject to the tax retention exception above.

To make a request, email hello@turfdoctor.com.au from the address on your subscription. There is no charge for these requests.

The TurfDoctor website uses minimal cookies, only what is needed to keep you signed in during checkout and to remember your session. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that profile individual visitors.

Stripe Checkout, when you reach the payment step, sets its own cookies to secure the transaction. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to those cookies.

TurfDoctor is intended for adults who manage their own lawns or the lawns of their household. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify subscribers by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can refer the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
